Introduction Malnutrition still rears its ugly head in many Arab countries, proposing that it is tremendously difficult for the region to meet the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to reach “zero hunger” and eradicate all forms of malnutrition (1). High levels of food insecurity, malnutrition, and obesity is found in the Arab region, with 116 million people being food insecure, 43 million undernourished, and 115 million obese (2).
