Rebecca Olson’s Biography

Becky Olson is a public relations and marketing consultant with more than 12 years of agency experience managing local, national and global campaigns for some of America's most-recognized brands. Her work has consistently earned a variety of industry awards and honors. The creativity and thoughtful leadership she brings to each client relationship complement her expertise.

Before founding her consultancy, Becky spent eight years at Golin in Chicago, overseeing accounts including: Lipton Iced Tea, Florida Department of Citrus, Libbey, Unilever, (Breyers, Klondike, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!, and Bertolli), Owens Corning, the United States Mint and Motel 6. There, she developed and implemented annual PR campaigns, created social media strategies and content, planned national media events, facilitated celebrity partnerships and served as a leader on integrated agency teams. While working with Klondike, Becky directed the “What Would You Do for a Klondike Bar?” video contest campaign, which earned PR Week’s Consumer Brand Development Campaign of the Year, as well as an IABC Gold Quill, in 2009.

Previously, she served as a Director and Vice President with Zócalo Group, providing strategic counsel and social media campaign management for Werther's Original and Werther’s Original Sugar Free, as well as Unilever's I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!, Brummel & Brown and Bertolli brands.

She also worked for BVK in Milwaukee, leading traditional media relations efforts for Subway, the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism and Kohler Co.

Becky is a graduate of Marquette University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Public Relations.
