Discussion in 'Unique, Custom or New Yachts' started by Rene GER, . In addition to the news thread with infos and pictures, Kleven published also a launch video of their new 116m. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1095469113830486&id=346468432063895 Outfitting like her smaller sister also in Germany. I like the blue hill better than what's on Ulysses. After a short refit, Ulysses now has a faired hull. Scott W said: ↑ After a short refit, Ulysses now has a faired hull. Click to expand...

Quite huge. I'm Part of your post seems to be missing?? discokachina said: ↑ Part of your post seems to be missing?? Click to expand... The "I'm" is not supposed to be there. The iPhone has its own mind. She was actually launched today and for me she looks like a Oeino design. What a massive boat! It is huge.

As Hohum says, that really is an anti Paparazzi deck layout. A lot of open air deck spaces not visible from sea level, only from the air. And I bet, their will be some laser guns (sorry, pointer of course ) waiting for areal drones. And far morepowerful ones than I have encountered in Palma. It would be interesting to see the water removal facilities (scuppers) on these lower forward decks, as required by class.

Discussion in 'Lurssen Yacht' started by Milow232, . You need to be registered and signed in to view this content. We talked previously about this project in the Lürssen News thread... She is shrouded in a veil of secrecy yet though I think I figured her project name being "Green" and the interior designd by Reymond Langton while Espen Oeino ist responsible for her exterior. Would be cool when the name says it all. What a pity that I forgot to ask Lürssen at the MYS.
|Feadship | 57.27M | "W" ex. "Larisa" | 2013/19 |
The search form showed me nothing about "Larisa". So here is the official press release and a picture from the press package: Larisa joins the global Feadship fleet Feadship has launched the 57.60-metre custom motoryacht Larisa. Built for an experienced owner looking to upgrade to the world's leading superyacht brand, her interior comes from the boards of Bannenberg & Rowell Design. Larisa features a contemporary classic exterior profile, with a wide range of modern features.
| Feadship | 99.00M | "Madame GU" -ex Project 'Dream'- Hull 1004 | 2013 |
Discussion in 'Feadship Yacht' started by Yacht News, . You need to be registered and signed in to view this content. Feadship has launched their largest project to date, the 99-meter Project 'Dream'. She was built under hull 1004 as part of the XL series. The yacht appears to have a deep baby blue and white colour hull but I would not be surprised if some of that is a protective film. So I am not exactly sure what is her real hull colour.
| Feadship | 78.20M |"VENUS" | 2012 |
I think we can see two sat domes hidden behind the wheelhouse superstructure. I wonder where her SSB antennae are located or maybe they just extend when in use. Or perhaps the Apple engineers figured out a way to embed them in the railings or other structure of the yacht like a cell phone antenna?? I love the design, if no one else wants her I will gladly take her off your hands. The proof will be in the pudding of seeing her underway.

Guess you were correct Milow! Yes it seems so.
| A&R | 60.90M | "Arience" ex."Excellence V" | 2012 |
Discussion in 'Abeking & Rasmussen Yacht' started by Milow232, . She has been delivered two days ago, on 10th June! Wow nearly 10 months after her launch...that smells of a new record for A&R?! However I think she is a good looking vessel and I am happy to see her completed. Well a few nice boats that we had been waiting on for a long time have been delivered recently, her and "ACE". Now, to wait on Project "Topaz". The new A&R is a looker overall.
|Feadship | 88.00M | "Musashi" ex. hull 1002| 2010 |
Discussion in 'Feadship Yacht' started by Yacht News, . You need to be registered and signed in to view this content. I believe that it is appropriate for the largest Feadship built to-date to have her own thread. The "Musashi" was launched on Friday August 6, 2010. I remember a while back one of our members took a few pictures of this same hull going to Feadship for fitout. Again, anyone with photos, relevant information related to the build of this new yacht are welcomed to post here.

Delta Marine News
I "heard" about the video on Instagram from Sam Hubintette who was one of the drivers for the commercial... really one of the worst things I have ever seen or listened to. Abhorrently bad. Single handedly redefined the word "awful". I wanted to pour acid in my ears to wash away the pain. If I was the owner of the yacht in question I would have to sell it just to distance myself from the awfulness. The ladies in the above image are the only redeeming thing about the entire sordid mess.
Princess Yachts News
She looks very nice... Princess is one of my favorite brands, was since many years ago when I was involved with smaller yachts (50-70ft), nonetheless, it baffles me why owners would pick a princess 40m over a 40m from a yard that focuses on yachts of that size bracket... Obviously they are always pushing their envelope, but there are limits... they arent just into "Performance Motoryachts" which I'd say can go up to 100ft or so...
Yachts in Movies
Discussion in 'General Yachting Discussion' started by coismov, . You need to be registered and signed in to view this content. I always enjoy it when a yacht appears in a movie that I'm watching. Most of my friends barely notice them, while I often find myself pausing/rewinding to get a better look.
JFA Yachts-- m/y Bystander
Thank you for welcoming me and for answering my questions. I have only just gotten interested in yachts but I have been a big ocean liner buff for years. It fascinates me to see what new things can be done with the same type of hull used 80+ years ago. Are there any other "classic-modern" yachts out there that I can check out? So far the modern built ones I have seen are the Bystander, Nero and Sycara.
| Perini Navi | 64M | "Spirit of the C's" ex. "Felicita West" | 2003/16 |

This lovely Perini was seen off Croatia early up this month...so in case they are any FW fans.... The lovely Perini "Felicita' West" has up for sale at the moment through brokerage firm Merle Wood & Associates. Felicia' West is a 64-meter Ketch-rigged yacht built by Perini Navi, launched in 2003. Discussion in 'Alloy Yacht' started by Yacht News, . Kokomo is lauched, out and in the water!...her mast a boom have already been stepped...She looks like a typical Alloy saiil luxury yacht but there is still something about her design that sets her apart!....She has a dark blue hull and white superstructure and also dark tinted windows with dark tinted windshield on the flybridge. She has a golden pinstripe along the sides of her hull and matching stripe on the boom her name in the middle.

Discussion in 'Lurssen Yacht' started by YachtForums, . You need to be registered and signed in to view this content. The following pictures are compliments of YF member Christian Eckardt. This is the 150-meter Lurssen "Sunflower", scheduled for launch in 2007. These pictures were taken at the SSW yard in Bremerhaven, Germany. Thanks for the pics Christian! Posting this on behalf of YF member "Leveller", this is a shot of Sunflower preparing to leave the shed in the next 24 hours.
| Perini Navi | 88M | "Maltese Falcon" | 2006/23 |
I came across a website called Latitudes with some discussion on the Maltese Falcon and thought you guys might be interested... Which Is Bigger? You Decide... In the last several 'Lectronics, we've been talking about the world's largest privately-owned yachts - Jim Clark's 297-ft LOA clipper ship Athena, and Larry Ellison's 452-ft motoryacht Rising Sun - because they were both here in St. Barth and because they are both owned by Northern Californians.
| HDW/Lurssen | 126.19M | "Octopus" | 2003/19 |
Octopus has participated on numerous research programs, making best use of all the toys onboard. I remember it participated on a documentary about the legacy of the atomic tests that were made in the Bikini Atoll, in the pacific. There was a short version on youtube on which you could see many sections of the yacht, the sub interior, the helicopters and the impressive display of technollogy. Unfortunately, I cann't find it. Will look more.
