KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 (Bernama) -- Former Bernama journalist Sabaruddin Ahmad Sabri, 60, died at Sungai Buloh Hospital from a lung infection early this morning. Suzrina Shamsuddin, 55, said her husband passed away at 5.28 am. His remains are expected to be taken to Masjid Jamek FRIM for the funeral rites after Zuhur prayers, and will be laid to rest at Bukit Lagong Muslim Cemetery in Taman Ehsan, Kepong, Selangor. Sabaruddin leaves behind his wife and five children.
Retail Prices Of RON97, Unsubsidised RON95, Diesel Down For Jan 8-14
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 7 (Bernama) -- The retail prices of RON97 and unsubsidised RON95 petrol nationwide will decrease by five sen and two sen respectively to RM3.11 and RM2.54 per litre from Jan 8 to 14. The Ministry of Finance (MOF), in a statement today, said that the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will also decrease by five sen, to RM2.89 per litre, while in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan it will remain at RM2.15 per litre for the same period.

SEOUL, Dec 24 (Bernama-Yonhap) -- South Korean presidential office said on Wednesday it will be formally renamed Cheong Wa Dae early next week, with the relocation of the office to the historic compound nearing completion, Yonhap News Agency reported. The presidential flag bearing two phoenixes at the current office in the Defence Ministry complex in Yongsan, central Seoul, will be lowered at midnight on Sunday and raised at Cheong Wa Dae at the same time, the office said in a press notice.

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 24 (Bernama) -- Bursa Malaysia closed at a nearly 16-month high on Christmas Eve, extending its gains for a fifth consecutive session amid steady market participation and improving domestic sentiment. At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 1.67 points, or 0.10 per cent, to 1,678.31 from Tuesday’s close of 1,676.64. The benchmark index opened 0.64 points lower at 1,676.0 before reversing course to hit an intraday high of 1,678.85 in early trade.
Diesel Prices In Peninsular Malaysia Down By 3 Sen
KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 (Bernama) -- The government has decided to reduce the retail price for diesel in Peninsular Malaysia by 3 sen to RM2.77 a litre for the period of May 29 to June 4, in line with changes in global oil prices. The Finance Ministry also announced in a statement today that the retail price of diesel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan remain at RM2.15 per litre. Also, the retail price of RON97 and RON95 petrol remain at RM3.10 a litre and RM2.05 a litre.

Grocery Turnover Up By A Fifth In Norway In Two Years, Data Shows
Grocery and alcohol turnover in Norway was 19% higher in 2021 than in 2019, new data from Statistics Norway (SSB) has found. Turnover has remained roughly the same compared to last year, the data showed, with prices last year slightly down on that of 2020. However, a 'large' increase in prices between 2019 and 2020 means that prices in 2021 were still 2.5% higher than in 2019.
