The goal of this study is to describe and evaluate the federally funded health professions program at the University of New Mexico (UNM), the Undergraduate Student Scholars Program (USSP), which aims to support educationally or economically disadvantaged students interested in pursuing healthcare professions and working with medically underserved populations. The USSP is a yearly program that aims to support students with monthly career development workshops.
