Written & Photographed By: Ric Sperrazza It was 1998 and I was in the fledgling stages of my love affair with punk music. Freshly moved from Queens, New York where I spent my time discovering the East Village and the full breadth of the Bowery, I was given a ticket to join a friend for the Vans Warped Tour on the Camden, New Jersey Waterfront.
Written by Ric Sperrazza When I was in Junior High School, long before Wayne’s World had us headbanging along, I had discovered the band, Queen. At such a young age, the band’s music had me do an about face to new emotions I was sometimes ill-equipped to deal with. When the voice of legendary Freddie Mercury wanted the audience to feel sad, I was swimming in a sea of melancholy.
