Give me a topic and a few hours to research and I'll likely end up with dozens of angles for a particular piece, looking at wider sociological, technological and historical developments to create a satisfyingly in-depth look at a topic. It's this level of interest and analysis that has allowed me to come up with ideas for countless story ideas, finding unique ways to divert from usual narratives and engage subjects with a fresh look.

Main Interests:

Music - Predominantly rock, metal, punk, noise (and the wider development of guitar-based music from the 1900s onwards)

• Cinema - I have grown up with a love and fascination for cinema, studying it academically to degree level. Predominantly interested in 'genre' cinema and the many subgenres that have shaped cinema's development - be that the Western/Neo-Western, martial arts action flick (with particular interest in Hong Kong cinema and the renaissance within Southeast Asia and Korea) or Horror/Thriller.

• History - Be it the development of culture, society, a geographical area or significant event.

• Travel - Finding lesser-known destinations and activities.
