Why did you become a journalist?

To seek truth and inform people.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Yes, I worked as the Editor-in-Chief of the East Side. Very proud of my work and time there.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Always be learning, writing, and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.

What's your favorite drink?

Scotch (on the rocks).

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That science is too jargon-y to be understandable to non-experts.
