Pattern changes: Now a taste of Fall Cooler and wetter weather for a few days PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — After a record setting hot summer are you liking the pattern change? I know I am. I actually had the fireplace going at my house last night as temps hovered in the 50s. Average highs should be around 77° right now, and I only expect us to top off in the lower 60s today.

Mount Hood at sunrise, March 2015 (KOIN 6 News) PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Are you enjoying the cool down we are having? I finally gave my portable air unit a break last night. Why the cooler weather? You can thank a strong onshore push of marine air that brought us clouds and morning temperatures in in the upper 50s and lower 60s. You can expect highs in the afternoon to reach near 80 today, but the cooler weather will only last for a few days before we heat things back up over the weekend.
