Rima Pundir’s Biography

I’ve been writing professionally since 2004, but the truth is, I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t putting words together. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to work as Beauty Editor at Cosmopolitan and Good Housekeeping, and later as a freelance writer for multiple U.S.-based outlets—all from the comfort of my desk at home. Along the way, I’ve had some amazing opportunities and met incredible people.

My path here wasn’t exactly straight. I first set out to study medicine, then earned a degree in software engineering. But during college, I started covering campus news for The Statesman, a national daily, and that was it; I knew I was meant to write, not code.

Since then, I’ve worn many hats: intern, on-site staffer, freelancer, remote writer, even self-employed author. My first book, The Remnants of Fate, was published by Aravalli and is available on Amazon. As a freelancer, I’ve written for BrightSide.me, Ranker, The Blast, Grunge, Basmati, The Richest, HotCars, and LifeHack, mostly on topics I love—pop culture, movies, beauty, health, parenting, relationships, celebrities, true crime, and articles of general interest.

I take pride in delivering clean, engaging, well-researched copy on time. I’m comfortable with SEO, CMS, Asana, Slack, Photoshop, and all the little tools that help keep things running smoothly. Colleagues often count on me for my time management, attention to detail, and editing eye.

On a personal note, I’m a BIPOC cis-gender woman from India. Outside of writing, I’m a wife, mom of two boys (and a dog), and the sort of cook who can turn leftovers into something pretty delicious.
