Mrs. Rivka Oratz has an extensive background in high school teaching and guidance positions throughout the New York region, and is an experienced educator holding a B.A. in Psychology from Adelphi University, a Certificate in professional development of teaching skills at the elementary school level issued by Torah Umesorah Teacher Training, and a Hebrew teacher’s degree from Michlala College, Jerusalem. Currently in a Master’s program for Jewish Education to (to be completed June 2020).
In her current position, Principal of Lev Bais Yaakov High School, Rivka Oratz utilizes her inimitable pedagogic style to create a collaborative team among the staff, parents and students. Thus, the home and school join to create a synthesis facilitating their goal as partners in climb, working toward the well-being of the child. As a proponent of the philosophy that academic achievement must be supported by emotional and social development as well in order to create a wholesome child, Rivka Oratz works toward that end to foster the multifaceted growth of her students.
