Rob Crossan’s Biography

Rob is a journalist, broadcaster, playwright and voice over artist originally from the North West who has been based in South London for the last 25 years.

Rob writes regularly about politics, lifestyle and culture for The Spectator. He writes on lifestyle, food, history and travel for the Daily Telegraph and Country Life and writes specifically on travel for the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, Conde Nast Traveller, Monocle, Luxury London and the Aston Martin magazine among others.

Rob is a regular contributor to the From Our Own Correspondent programme on BBC Radio Four and the World Service and is the host of The Happiness Map travel show on BBC Radio 6.

Rob is a voice over artist represented by ID Audio and has narrated numerous titles for Audible including 'Let's Do It', the 2026 Faber and Faber published history of pop music written by Bob Stanley

Rob is a playwright whose debut play 'The Gaffer' premiered on an eight night run at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2024. Produced by INK Productions it was awarded a 5 star review by the ipaper and recommended as one of the 20 Plays Not To Miss by The Times

Rob was signed by the Greyhound literary agency in Bloomsbury in 2025 for his debut novel.
