Why did you become a journalist?
To tell people what's really going on and try and motivate them to act for change.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
If you're not a news junkie you're wasting your time.
When's the best time to pitch you?
A few days out from your event. Afternoons and overnight are best.
What's your favorite drink?
Soda water. I've been 'dry' for more than a decade now
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
AT an incident scene, or at home with the scanners on in the background!
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That we sit with our feet up, reading the paper and drinking coffee between bulletins
