Robb Stein is an entrepreneur and long-time real estate investor who has spent more than two decades building and managing businesses across several industries. Raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, he developed a strong sense of responsibility toward his community from an early age. That connection to his hometown has remained central to both his professional path and his community involvement. Over time, he has balanced business leadership with charitable work and volunteer service, supporting organizations that focus on health care, education, disability services, and the arts.
A major part of his professional work centers on the automotive industry. Robb is the principal owner of the Cincinnati Byrider location, part of a national dealership network that focuses on selling inspected and reconditioned vehicles. The dealership also provides in-house financing programs designed to help customers build or restore their credit through reporting to the major credit bureaus. Byrider has served more than one million customers across the United States who are looking for vehicle purchasing options combined with credit-building opportunities.
In addition to his role with Byrider, Robert Stein serves as President of Derojo, Inc., a Cincinnati-based company involved in several business areas. The company owns and operates auto dealerships, subprime finance companies, a real estate development group, and a reinsurance business. Its approach often focuses on identifying companies in specialized markets that may benefit from new capital and improved management structure.
Another key part of his business portfolio involves leadership in the automotive finance sector. Robert Stein, of Cincinnati, is the President and owner of Alford Motors, Inc., a recognized one of the largest subprime auto dealer groups. The company combines vehicle sales with financing solutions for customers who may not qualify for traditional bank or other lender loans. This model helps individuals gain access to transportation while also providing a pathway toward rebuilding credit.
Alongside these ventures, Stein also serves as Chairman of Card Sound Reinsurance Group. The company focuses on specific insurance exposures that may offer stronger returns in favorable tax environments. His work in this role reflects a broader interest in diversified business operations and strategic financial management.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Robb Stein has remained active in community service and philanthropy throughout Cincinnati. He served for nearly a decade on the Board of Directors of StarShine Hospice at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. The program provides hospice and palliative care for children and young adults whose life expectancy is limited, while also supporting their families during difficult circumstances.
Stein also spent four years on the board of Living Arrangements for the Developmentally Disabled (LADD). The organization supports adults with developmental disabilities by helping them live independently, find employment, and connect with their communities through education and training programs.
His volunteer efforts extend to long-term involvement with the American Heart Association. Over the years, he helped establish the organization’s Young Professional committee and played a role in fundraising initiatives and leadership activities supporting heart health awareness.
Robb also served as a former co-chair of Fall Feast Cincinnati and remained on its steering committee for more than a decade. The Thanksgiving event brings together over a thousand volunteers to serve meals and provide coats, haircuts, and medical care to thousands of individuals in need each year.
Robb Stein attended Indiana University in Bloomington, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Outside of his professional and community commitments, he enjoys golf, skiing, boating, and outdoor activities.
He is also interested in endurance challenges and hiking. In recent years, he completed the 29029 Everesting Challenge in Jackson Hole, climbing the vertical equivalent of Mount Everest. He later summited Mount Rainier as part of his continued interest in outdoor endurance activities.
