Michael Movie Review
As arguably the greatest entertainer of all time and a landmark of 20th Century culture, Michael Jackson continues to inspire millions around the world. He had a share of big-screen outings too, beginning with The Wiz in 1978 and ending posthumously in 2009 with This Is It. Now we’re receiving a full-blown tribute simply titled Michael; it’s a biopic with many problems that overcome its entertainment factor.
Invincible Series Review (Season 4)
Over the last five years, Robert Kirkman’s Invincible has been on a knock-out run, standing at the top of the adult-oriented superhero scene. The fourth season has arrived sooner than expected, just one year after its predecessor. It delivers another impressive and wildly enjoyable outing. Shortly after the defeat of Conquest, Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), his lover Eve (Gillian Jacobs) and their fellow super-humans struggle on in their efforts to protect Earth from a near endless tide of attacks.
The Drama Movie Review
The romance genre is filled to burst with stories both comforting and heart-rending. Every so often, we get a production that mutates the common premise. The Drama, directed by Norwegian director Kristoffer Borgli, creates a different kind of tension; a chain reaction of dicey events sparked by a single reveal. In a modern Boston suberb, Emma (Zendaya) and Charlie (Robert Pattinson) are engaged to be married and preparations are going great on both sides.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Series Review (Season 1)
As one of the biggest properties in fantasy, A Song of Ice and Fire remains immensely popular with audiences. After reaching far into the past with House of the Dragon, a second spin-off was on the cards. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms serves up a bite-sized slice of action and drama, but it still claims a spot among the best small-screen titles. Based on the Tales of Dunk and Egg by George R.R. Martin, the series unfolds after House of the Dragon but before Game of Thrones.
Fallout Series Review (Season 2)
After so many underwhelming video game adaptations, Fallout showed everyone how was it done with a knockout opening season in 2024. The second chapter takes a firmer grip on the source material, directly incorporating the lore into the main narrative. For the most part, it’s every bit as effective and engaging as the original. In 2296, all roads lead to Las Vegas after the battle of Griffith’s Observatory and we once again follow three main characters with their own individual motivations.
Marty Supreme Movie Review
Since their breakout in 2017, the Safdie Brothers have specialised in smaller scale films with a razor-sharp edge. Their core formula involving placing morally dubious characters in dicey yet enthralling circumstances. This time Josh Safdie has struck out on his own with Marty Supreme, another brilliant showcase of the director’s talents. Set in the 1950s America, we follow Marty Mauser (Timothée Chalamet), a young and deeply arrogant table-tennis star who goes for the championship title.
Student Loan Payment Resumptions Effect on Borrowers and Businesses Show Danger Ahead
By Robert L. Cain, Copyright 2023 Cain Publications, Inc. Economists predict that the end of the student loan repayment moratorium will have little to no effect on the overall economy. They are probably right. That misses considering the ill effects on individual student-loan borrowers. Adding back a student loan payment on top of other household bills such as credit cards and car loans for millions of borrowers can't help but affect individual people's situations.
Holding Off Old Age
by Robert L. Cain, Copyright 2022, Cain Publications, Inc. Old age doesn't happen all at once. Instead, it sneaks, slithers, lurks, and disguises itself insidiously, waiting to attack when you least expect it. Its perfidious symptoms wait patiently but eagerly. "Yeah, but I'm not old yet," you carefully and patiently explain, but old age doesn't listen. With its own agenda, it goes right ahead with the plan. All we can do is ignore, cajole, threaten, and accommodate. How do we accommodate?
Three Ways Scammers Use AI to Steal From the Unwary
By Robert L. Cain, Copyright 2023, Cain Publications, Inc. Never was there a new technology that scammers didn't figure out a way to take advantage of to rip off the unwary. Imagine their joy today. Scammers hit the goldmine with Artificial Intelligence. They have come up with ways to scam not possible before, ways they couldn't have dreamt about five or so years ago. By the time we've figured out how to stop them, millions of people and businesses will have been scammed out of billions of dollars.
CTC LATE EDITION AFTER SHOW
These were the words of Walmart CEO Doug McMillon, made less than two weeks after George Floyd died in Minneapolis police custody, setting off protests across the nation. The corporations we buy from, just like our government we pay for, have gone too far in supporting a WOKE agenda and walkking away from the majority of the values of the citizens and voters in America.
