I wrote news stories for an AM radio station.

It's a great tool for finding and connecting with sources but it's turning every headline into clickbait nonsense.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
In my line, it means to be a storyteller. To amplify the work and voices of those people making the world a better place through their art.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Google Docs, Otter, good ol' pen and paper.

Briefly, writing the occasional live concert review.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
The story about a small independent record label that tried and failed to put out an EP of unreleased Prince music.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Read. Read as much as you can. Fiction. Nonfiction. Newspapers. Blog posts. Books. Magazines. Whatever it is, just read.
What's your favorite drink?
Any brand and flavor of sparkling water.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
At the movies or digging through thrift stores and estate sales for rare records.
