Real progress on integration and culture change, rail leaders tell UK Rail Summit
Rail Minister Lord Hendy has expressed pride in the progress that has been made to bring track and train together ahead of the creation of Great British Railway (GBR). Speaking at last week's UK Rail Summit, which was hosted by KPMG in London, Hendy said a lot of progress had now been made on creating integrated railways with fully accountable management teams. "Whatever anybody says, you can't accuse this government of not getting on with it," he told delegates.
Putting the spotlight on buses: The UK Bus Summit returns!
Last week's UK Bus Summit, organised by Transport Times in partnership with Passenger Transport, was the seventh edition of this must-attend event - but it has been five and a half years since the last one. Periodical cicadas exhibit life cycles with durations of 13 or 17 years, and it is now accepted that large prime cycles arose to avoid synchrony with predators. Perfecting Paint Production
A house needs many things: floors, windows, doors, appliances, furniture, decor, and a strong foundation with walls that provide the people inside with security and warmth. However, a house only becomes a home once the people living inside have chosen the perfect paint colors. Since 1925, Dunn-Edwards, manufacturer of architectural paints and coatings, has provided paint colors for every part of the home. The Dunn-Edwards facility in Phoenix, Arizona, continues that legacy.
Perfecting Paint Production at Dunn-Edwards
Paint and coatings manufacture requires the safe and efficient handling and transfer of abrasive liquids, such as titanium dioxide (TiO2), which is an additive used to make latex. When Dunn-Edwards began experiencing a shortened diaphragm lifespan in its Wilden AODD Pumps that were tasked with handling TiO2, it was recommended that they switch to Wilden’s new Chem-Fuse Integral Piston Diaphragm (IPD) models.

12th March 2019 In recent months there has been a lot of discussion in England about the case for government to formulate a long-term national investment strategy for buses and coaches.
