THRILLER COPY ISBN Ellison Ricard sues for being unjustly fired for being the whistleblower in a malpractice suit against MediMiracle, manufacturer of a drug that claims to cure addiction. How to Write a Socially Conscious Legal Thriller
I grew up in an era when television had three networks and four local stations, only one of which was in “living color.” A long-time running series was Perry Mason—the real one, not the more recent version that had little to do with Earl Stanley Gardner’s original character. Each week, Perry would solve mysteries by eviscerating the villain on cross-examination. Compelling television, but not what inspired me to become an attorney and later a writer of legal drama.
THE OUT-OF-TOWN LAWYER
A highly original courtroom drama ripped from the headlines and then some. An attorney returns to his hometown of Cole’s Crossing, Alabama, on behalf of a client who looks as if she hasn’t got a prayer of acquittal. Destiny Grace Harper was pregnant with daughters afflicted by rare twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome that condemned them to likely death unless their mother underwent fetoscopic laser surgery, a procedure she rejected at the behest of Rev.
Jeffrey Archer - THE BIG THRILL
The Big Thrill Interviews Jeffrey Archer By Robert Rotstein In 1671, Colonel William Blood engaged in a daring attempt to steal England’s crown jewels from the Tower of London—and almost succeeded. Sentenced to death, Blood somehow charmed his way out of a hanging. No one has tried to repeat the crime since. Now, in his compelling new thriller TRAITORS GATE—the sixth in the William Warrick series—acclaimed author Jeffrey Archer explores whether a modern-day Blood could pull off the theft. It’s 1996.

Rule of Capture by Christopher Brown
0 By Robert Rotstein Justice rarely comes easy, even in a fair legal system. But what if the country were drifting toward dictatorship? What if the entrenched powers were jailing the opposition and using the courts as a tool of oppression? That describes exactly the legal system in Christopher Brown’s compelling dystopian legal thriller, RULE OF CAPTURE. Houston lawyer Donny Kimoe scrapes out a living by defending enemies of the state.
THE FIVE BEST AND THE FIVE WORST FICTIONAL LAWYERS
THE FIVE BEST AND THE FIVE WORST FICTIONAL LAWYERS This rather quirky list focuses on attorneys whose competence (or lack thereof) might not be obvious. In no particular order: BEST FICTIONAL ATTORNEYS Hans Rolfe, Judgment at Nuremberg (Abby Man, 1961 motion picture) Rolfe represents a Nazi war criminal at the Nuremberg trials. Paradoxically, by vigorously defending a client whose actions he abhors, Rolfe stands against totalitarianism.
