What does it mean to be a journalist?

I have seen a world that would never have been available to me in another profession, met people and visited places thtat changed my life.

Why did you become a journalist?

The world and its people fascinate me.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

No. We did not have one.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Being at the D-Day landing beaches on 9/11/2001 and witnessing the heartfelt response from those the US liberated in 1944.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Never fail to recognize what constitutes a great story and do not be afraid to tell it.

When's the best time to pitch you?

Just about any day between 9 & 5 EST (with absenetee allowances due to travel assignments)
