Wow, yes. That clearly dates me, mostly in a good way I think.

Fast fast fast, There are no longer X o'clock deadlines, the deadline is right now.

Email with reasons why it's a story that wants to be heard.

Spreadsheets, Thestreet.com, Yahoo Finance, Google search, and duct tape
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter, it's the fastest way to understand the markets emotion on any given stock. Albeit, reading through the noise is required.
Who do you wish followed you?
Those that already do. I'm grateful they're willing to, and focus on proving they made a good choice.
Why did you become a journalist?
Motivated to fully understand the subject at hand. Readers will call you out quickly if you don't. In finance, knowledge is valuable.

no, spent my time on the yearbook.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't produce crap, real traction is gained through adding value and insight others haven't found.
