Yes, I learned to type in high school on a typewriter.

You learn about world events much faster, but you don't always know if it is true.

Why did you become a journalist?
I wanted to combine my love of travel and my love of writing.

Yes, I was a writer and editor.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
A story about the Underground Railroad.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Daylight hours. Early afternoon is best.

In the kitchen, cooking, or volunteering at my church or in the community.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That travel writers are always on vacation. Yes we experience fun things but there is a lot of work involved before, during and after.
