Editor of my HighSchool newspaper; Knight Time

Once. Rock-climbing was easier.
How is social media changing news?
It's getting it to us at lightning speed. There are no more secrets.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Miranda Priestly. Her attention to detail is incredible.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Being a journalist means telling the stories that would go untold if it weren't for your words.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Via email is always the best way. Give me a summary of your idea and we'll go from there!

Why did you become a journalist?
I love telling the stories and sharing the art of others. Focusing on Music allows me to share those stories while developing careers.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did! I was an editor.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't give up! The work we do is important. If it means something to you push until you get it right.

Most likely taking in my beautiful city. When I need to unplug, visit Brooklyn Bridge Park with a book by the water.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
The most common misconception is that we're interested in celebrity news. Our focus is only on emerging artists.
