Operation Midnight Hammer-Can’t We All Just Be Proud Americans?
As a military aviator and veteran of more contingencies than I care to remember, I watched with bated breath and prayers in my heart on the evening of June 21st as Operation Midnight Hammer was unfolding on live TV. A 37 hour long mission, cramped cockpits, strapped to ejection seats, radio silence, with only a tiny toilet to take care of nature’s calls and a small cot to try and catch some shut eye, were just some of my thoughts.

Operation Midnight Hammer—Can’t We All Just Be Proud Americans? I went to sleep that night so proud to have been an American aviator—and an American citizen

Letter to the editor: It’s time to move away from diversity equity and inclusion rhetoric
On Oct. 7, 2023, the world woke up to the horrors of a truly barbaric attack upon the innocent people of our strongest ally in our world’s most unsettled region. As horrific as those massacres were — nearly as shocking were the demonstrations in support of the heinous Hamas butchers emanating from elite college campuses across our nation with students serving as brainwashed “useful idiot” (as Lenin called them) models of the indoctrination taking place in our nation’s school systems.
Letter to the editor: Summit School District should focus on basic academics, not indoctrination
As board chairman for STARRS.US, an organization battling the leftist indoctrination of our military, it is easy to see the similarities between what is happening in our military with what is occurring in education. Only 26% of Americans today (lowest score ever) trust public schools, according to a Gallup Poll.
Anti-charter school activists could learn from Orwell
The anti-charter school activist group Network for Public Education recently released a report on the classical charter school movement. Its findings have all the simplicity ridiculed in Orwell ’s Animal Farm: “Four legs good, two legs bad.” In the case of the NPE report, this would be: “ Progressive education good, anything else bad.” In fact, the report is a polemic masquerading as information.
Preventing taxpayer-funded abortion isn't radical
Republicans in the House of Representatives last week voted to accept a new budget bill that calls for an increase in spending for veterans and related programs. The bill also calls for a ban on abortions at Veterans Affairs medical centers. According to congressional Democrats , this is extreme. In the post-Roe era, it is anything but.
How DEI infilitrated the military
How is it possible that in a matter of a few years, the Department of Defense and most military-oriented media outlets and support agencies have been ideologically captured by diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), a philosophy steeped in racism, based on Marxist principles, and antithetical to the mission of the armed services ?
Why Tommy Tuberville won't back down on stalling 250 military nominees in the Senate
The Department of Defense in February released a series of new policies that allow for time off and travel expenses for reproductive healthcare, including abortion , for troops and their dependents in states where it is not available. The new policies were designed to improve troops’ access to reproductive healthcare after the Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v.
Is it any wonder military recruitment has fallen so dramatically over the past two years?
It’s been widely reported that recruitment levels across all branches of the United States military fell well short of expectations in 2022. The Army missed its target of 60,000 new troops by 15,000, or 25% . Navy and Air Force recruitment were down as well. And the outlook for 2023 looks equally dismal.
Woke initiatives are creating division in the US military Original
What is wrong with today’s United States military ? In a word: division.
Generals defend the Left’s distorted narrative
The Washington Post published an article on Dec. 17 titled "Opinion: 3 retired generals: The military must prepare now for a 2024 insurrection." It was based on conjecture, innuendo, and outright fabrication. The authors, all retired U.S. Army generals, acted as a Praetorian Guard to protect the false, prevailing narrative about the Right posing a grave threat to our nation and its democracy. It was propaganda disguised as scholarship.

Veterans Combat Racism and Radicalism in the Military Academies
Veterans Day honors those who have served in our armed forces. One quality that has made our military strong over the years is that it was apolitical, and today, that quality is under threat and veterans are standing up. Rather than promoting unity and military cohesiveness, our military is increasingly embracing a divisive political ideology detrimental to military readiness. A retired Air Force general, I have paid particular attention to my alma mater, the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA).
Letter to the editor: I certainly wouldn’t describe the Republican agenda as hidden
In the interest of honesty and clarity, I am compelled to comment on Susan Knopf’s latest column in which she writes about the upcoming Summit School District Board of Education election. Knopf is correct when she alludes the election — like all elections — is a political one, but I certainly wouldn’t describe the Republican agenda as hidden.
Amid COVID-19, travel brands must ask: How will people get there?
As the travel industry prepares for a slow and cautious recovery, there is one question that remains critical to defending the core of your travel business. No matter which sector of the travel industry you are in, whether it is airlines, hotels or tours, you should be asking yourself how people will get to you. Early trends suggest that the obvious answers to that question - trains, taxis and public transport - may not be so obvious anymore.
