In My View: State AG Mayes is wrong on girls athletics
In the 1990 classic movie “Kindergarten Cop,” a 5-year-old boy raises his hand and explains to Detective John Kimble, played by former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, the classic line, “Boys have a penis and girls have a vagina.” Schwarzenegger replies, “Thanks for the tip.” On the subject matter, it seems Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes could use some pointers herself.
Mayes and the erosion of common sense in interscholastic sports - The Daily Independent at YourValley.net
By Rodney Glassman In the 1990 classic movie, “Kindergarten Cop,” a 5 year-old boy raises his hand and explains to Detective John Kimble, played by former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the classic line, “Boys have a penis and girls have a vagina.” Schwarzenegger replies, “Thanks for the tip.” On the subject matter, it seems Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes could use some pointers herself.
Kris Mayes said she'd uphold the death penalty. Don't let her renege now Original
Opinion: As a candidate, Mayes promised to carry out the death penalty. As attorney general, she changed her tune. There's a way to stop renegades like her. Rodney Glassman Opinion contributor In the closing days of the 2022 election, The Arizona Republic asked Democrat attorney general candidate Kris Mayes about her stance on the death penalty. Mayes replied, “The death penalty is the law of Arizona.
It's a problem when attorney general candidates say they won't enforce all laws
Across the country, liberals are weaponizing attorney general and district attorney offices in efforts to erode the rule of law and attack our constitutional freedoms. Recently, the presumptive Democrat nominee for Arizona attorney general shared that if elected, she will ignore the laws she doesn’t like. Specifically, she said that she will refuse to enforce lifesaving legislation, passed in 2022 by the Legislature and signed by the governor, which prohibits terminating pregnancies at 15 weeks.
Arizona’s First Responders Deserve an Attorney General Who Has Their Backs
Now more than ever, first responders play an incredibly important role in keeping our communities safe. Though the woke mob wants to defund the police, it is vital that we protect all first responders who continue to work tirelessly to meet the often-dangerous demands of our cities. One way to ensure that first responders feel comfortable carrying out their duties is to enforce the laws that guarantee justice for those who are assaulted while on duty.

As Attorney General I Will Focus On Arizona’s Constitution To Protect Arizonans
Rodney Glassman In the midst of COVID-19, I founded the John Marshall League, a conservative Republican Lawyers group, to provide a forum for originalist-minded attorneys throughout the valley to gather and discuss crucial issues and developing legal principles. Last month, our group had the pleasure of hearing from Arizona Supreme Court Justice Clint Bolick, who spoke about an issue that is one of my top priorities, states’ rights and the freedoms given to us by the Constitution of Arizona.
Fed’s Financial Snooping Violates Fourth Amendment
The Biden Administration recently announced its latest plan to expand its reach into the lives of Americans by creating an economic police state and forcing every consumer bank in the country to extend the long arm of federal law enforcement into every family’s bank account in America.
We need a county assessor who'll call out those who raise our property tax bills
Every year the check you write to pay your property taxes gets higher. That’s because elected officials take advantage of the fact that when property values rise, even with the tax rate staying the same, local government takes more and more of your money. Taxpayers deserve a county assessor who will put them first by fighting for low taxes. Unlike our household budgets where we must live within our means, government doesn’t have to.
Arizona is through with Band-Aids. This should be our next big move on water
Karen Fann and Rodney Glassman, opinion contributors Published 6:00 a.m. MT Dec. 14, 2018 CLOSE This illustrative video shows the seawater desalination process in action. Caller-Times Opinion: The best way to solve Arizona's water woes allows California - yes, California - to drink from the sea. A worker climbs stairs among some of the 2,000 pressure vessels used to convert seawater into freshwater through reverse osmosis in the Western Hemisphere's largest desalination plant in Carlsbad, Calif.
Tout Prop. 127, get $3 million in help from Tom Steyer?
Opinion: A national organization has committed nearly $3 million to support the two Democratic candidates for Arizona Corporation Commission. Traveling across Arizona throughout our campaign for Corporation Commission, the No. 1 question we’ve been asked is, “Are you taking money from APS?” The answer is no.
If you're against Prop. 127, we're your clear choice for Arizona Corporation Commission
Opinion: A key difference between us and our Democrat counterparts is our opposition to the costly renewable energy mandates included in Proposition 127. In the race for corporation commissioner, voters have a clear choice. Two Republican nominees who work in the business community and support policies to keep your rates as low as possible, while ensuring safe and reliable public services and ethical conduct by commissioners.
Column | Restoring trust in the Arizona Corporation Commission
As an Eagle Scout, husband, father, and attorney, holding my PhD in Arid Land Resource Sciences (water) and serving as a Major in the United States Air Force JAG Corps Reserve, I am deeply concerned about the future of Arizona. That’s why I am running for the Corporation Commission. The Commission was created as our 4th branch of government to regulate the monopolies that provide our most important public services. Sadly, the Commission has strayed far from its mission. It is time for new blood.
Your Turn: Corporation Commission needs ethics code; copy this one
Most Arizonans are aware of the Arizona Corporation Commission only because of negative news: indictments, conflicts of interest and resignations that have plagued the commission for nearly a decade. And, of course, utility rate increases.

The Comey Plan: What An Indictment of Hillary Clinton Would Mean For The Obama Legacy
In June of 2013, President Barack Obama reached outside the spectrum of political logic to select a former Bush appointed Republican as Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. At 6’8”, FBI Director James Comey stands tall amongst his fellow members of the Obama administration not only due to his height, but also his consistent financial support of Republicans John McCain and Mitt Romney in their bids for President.
