GTA 6 Developer Rockstar Says Its Next Game Won't Take Another 8 Years to Make
Rockstar has promised that its next game following GTA 6 won’t take as long to come out, although it failed to hint at what it might be. GTA 6 finally launches in November, eight years after the release of its last game, Red Dead Redemption 2. In a new report by Bloomberg detailing the challenges Rockstar has faced during GTA 6’s development, company leadership said whatever’s next won’t take as long because the work done for GTA 6 provides a foundation for following it up faster.

Red Dead Redemption 2 actor Roger Clark has revealed that Arthur Morgan's gnarly coughing fits were actually recorded when he was sick in real life. I recently interviewed Roger Clark for a YouTube video about how Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption was crafted. During our lengthy conversation, I was able to ask him something I've always wondered: How taxing is it to pretend to violently cough like Arthur does?
Truckers and drug testing
Most people in transportation know the four basic reasons of drug testing. The first one all new transport workers experience is the pre-employment drug screen. The second is post-accident. Third is the random test, up to twice per year, and fourth is what’s called “reasonable suspicion.” This is when a supervisor observes erratic behavior or physical signs and can order the employee to undergo a drug screen.
A year to remember
It was 2008 and the ink wasn’t dry on my college diploma, but I was ready for a new job, greater comfort, better money and any reason to put my trucking resume to rest once and for all. I’d been there, after all, and done that for the better part of thirty years, so surely I deserved a fresh beginning. Perhaps thinking I deserved anything was my first mistake. Maybe I didn’t have an attitude of gratitude, but I’m all better now. In fact, now that I’ve lost all hope, I feel much better.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Sales Update
All eyes are on GTA 6, but Red Dead Redemption 2 continues its remarkable success, selling more copies in the last year than in any 12-month period since its launch year back in 2018. Rockstar Games’ masterpiece has now sold an incredible 85 million copies to date (up to March 2026), and while that’s just over a third of the eye-watering 230 million copies GTA 5 has sold, it’s enough to make Red Dead Redemption 2 one of the best-selling games of all time.

When I was twenty years old, I was arrested and charged with a crime I did not commit. I ended up spending a year at Rikers Island. I couldn’t make bail and was coerced into taking a plea, even though the complaining witness in the case was no longer cooperating with prosecutors. Now I must forever live with that conviction.
