Roland Bayode is a Nigerian journalist with a strong background in investigative reporting and editorial leadership. A graduate of Mass Communication, Roland's career began at Adekunle Ajasin University, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of Echo Media, the campus newspaper. He demonstrated his editorial prowess over multiple administrations, eventually rising to the role of Editor-in-Chief in 2021.
Roland also interned at the Premium Times Center for Investigative Journalism (PTCIJ), where he stood out as the top intern, contributing significantly during his time at Owena Press and The Hope Newspaper in Akure, Ondo State. His journalistic work extends to platforms such as News Round the Clock, PTCIJ Google-YIAGA, LightRay Media, Apex Sport (U.S.), and Nigeria Grassroot News, where he served as Associate Editor under the AFYMP.
Roland’s reporting skills have been recognized through his role as an election observer with PTCIJ/Google YIAGA Initiative during the Ondo State Governorship Election, and his subsequent selection for the Anambra Governorship Election.
A passionate writer, Roland aspires to become a world-renowned journalist and novelist. His interests include real estate, novel writing, and fostering a community where young writers can be nurtured. A motivator and critical thinker, Roland is dedicated to mentoring others and sharing his knowledge of journalism.
