Rolf George Shervey’s Biography
Rolf George Shervey has developed a well-rounded professional background in business management, project management, quality consulting and auditing, strategic planning, program management, supply chain management, customer relationship management, and technical writing. As an independent consultant, he offers both consulting and writing services. He has written or co-written three technical publications that reflect his practical approach to professional communication.
He is guided by a strong focus on quality, which influences his work and principles. In 2015, Rolf established Quality Partners and has served as the Principal Consultant for Quality Management and Processes. Over the past nine years, he has worked with clients to improve operations, streamline processes, and enhance customer satisfaction. His work includes writing quality manuals, flow charts, technical work instructions, and policy documents that help organizations maintain consistency and meet their goals.
His career includes 15 years in the semiconductor industry and eight years in aerospace. George Shervey held key roles for more than 14 years at a company now known as Onto Innovation. From 2012 to 2015, he led the effort to achieve the company’s first ISO 9001 International Quality Management Systems certification. Following that success, he was promoted to Quality Systems Manager for a global workforce of over 600 employees. In this position, he led cost-reduction initiatives that saved $364,000 in one year and oversaw a team of 14 internal auditors across various company sites.
Before that, Rolf worked as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, authoring quality manuals and collaborating with certification auditors. He began his tenure as a Senior Applications Engineer at the company, supporting metrology equipment in partnership with SEMATECH at SUNY Albany. His responsibilities included equipment installations, process integration, and product buyoffs between $1 million and $5 million. He also trained customers in multiple countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, China, Taiwan, and several in Europe.
His recognition as “Who’s Who In Engineering” came in 2011.
George Shervey later served as a Senior Applications Engineer and Technical Support Manager at a high-tech startup. He held other engineering and quality roles at Honeywell International and Airbus Oneweb Satellites, LLC. He also worked on contracts as a Regional Subcontracts Manager and a Production Quality Engineer.
After high school, Rolf enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was a Nuclear Reactor Operator aboard submarines. His military career was recognized with honors and included assignments across the United States. His civilian roles have also involved relocation, reflecting his sought-after expertise.
While working and traveling full-time, George Shervey earned a Bachelor of Science in Global Management from the University of Phoenix in Tempe. He holds Navy certifications in Nuclear Electronics Technician Maintenance and Submarine Reactor Operations. He also completed ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor training, which was certified by Exemplar Global and valid through 2019.
Rolf was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and now lives in Melbourne, Florida. He is a practicing Roman Catholic who regularly attends Mass.
He has supported veteran-focused causes for years. He has been a member of The American Legion and the Wounded Warrior Project for over 15 years and has supported the Heritage Foundation for over seven years. His interests include civil society, human rights, economic development, international relations, arts, and culture.
George Shervey enjoys traveling, photography, writing, cooking, and being in nature in his free time. His writing highlights causes important to him, including veterans’ issues, mental health, suicide prevention, and organizations like the Til Valhalla Project, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Flanders Fields, and the American Legion. These groups support housing, memorials, and outreach efforts for veterans and their families. Rolf George Shervey continues to dedicate his efforts to these causes through his work and personal commitments.
