Newcomb remains unbeaten after 8-6 victory over Tohatchi

Skyhawks improve to 4-0; Navajo Prep outlasts Crownpoint, while PV falls at Alamogordo FARMINGTON – The Newcomb High School football team kept its unbeaten streak intact after topping Tohatchi 8-6 at home in a defensive slugfest Friday night. The Skyhawks, which entered the game as the ninth-ranked Class 2A team in the state, improved to 4-0 this season. Tohatchi dropped to 1-2 on the season. The game was scoreless entering the fourth quarter when Tohatchi got on the board.
