What was your first job as a journalist?

I started writing news at The Gaudie (University of Aberdeen's newspaper), before pivoting to my true loves: food, arts & culture

Have you ever used a typewriter?

I restored my grandpa's Olivetti back in 2018, but alas I will have to upgrade to a newer model soon.

Instagram - the perfect balance of words and great, original pictures.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Don't be afraid to experiment with different types of stories. Don't stay in your niche...go exploring!

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Hidden in a corner with a good book, or an amazing newly-released TV show.
