Prodigy front man Maxim collaborates with mixed media artist Dan Pearce for new pro-youth mental health art project 'Hope'
Still reeling from the shock death of beloved Prodigy legend Keith Flint in 2019, I, like many others, have been deliberating on the existing electronic titans’ next move. With social media teasers whetting our appetites, die-hard fans have been gearing up for the release of hotly anticipated new material from Liam Howlett and Maxim. DT Introducing: B3cks
Somewhere in between the abyss of Autumnal tier confusion and 2021’s Winter lockdown, I managed to meet B3cks (or Becks to her friends). B3cks is a 19-year-old emerging talent, Brit School graduate, and dance music producer at a highly sanitised Boxpark Croydon. Amongst the clamour and enthusiasm of up and coming producers on Instagram, B3cks stood out for her genuine demeanour, driven attitude, and keen plight to network and launch her music into the stratosphere.
Rosie Riot does 4 Days in Post Covid Lockdown Ibiza
On a bright September evening, I embarked on my solo trip to Ibiza, having been rendered the last willing party patron from a group deterred by the somewhat surprise UK/Spain quarantine rules. I had no idea what to expect. After touching down at Ibiza airport after a sparsely populated flight, I caught a taxi and headed to Ibiza Rocks Hotel.

First established in the midst of UKG’s heyday in 1997, Garage Nation has gone from strength to strength with events up and down the UK, an official festival, and even intentional events like ‘Garage Nation In The Sun’ and ‘Garage Nation In The Dam’ in Amsterdam, which I was lucky enough to warm up for last November.

Rosie Riot December 13, 2019 Knowledge Magazine (or ‘K Mag’ for those in the know) has been a leading publication for all things Drum and Bass for 25 years now, loyally flying the flag for Britain’s leading bass genre since 1994. Back then you could pick up a copy of this commanding glossy along with your new national lottery ticket. Sadly the last hard copies went to print in 2009 (a final edition adorned with the legend that is Sub Focus).

In October 2019 South London’s cultural and creative hub Peckham, was honoured with playing host to this year’s Boiler Room Festival. Showcasing a different underground scene each day over four days, the multi-event programme featured emerging artists from contemporary jazz, rap, bass and club. Last month I told Data Transmission about my top picks to watch at the bass day of Boiler Room Festival, which I was lucky enough to attend.
