What was your first job as a journalist?

Writing a neuroscience column.

How is social media changing news?

People have a free access to high-quality journalism through socia media. But it has turned harder for quality journalism to stand out.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

For me, its about a commitment to deliver true and verified information to the public.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

So far, my short contribution to Nature. But reporting on an upcoming feature on cancer research has been a very enriching experience.

What's your favorite drink?

Aperol Spritz, mezcal.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

People think science is not part of their life; science is not relevant for their daily lives – but it is.
