Perazzi TM 1 locking block ?
Have an old Ithaca Perazzi TM 1 locking block is getting a little weak. Took it to my local gun dealer. Said he doesn't work on Perazzis .Then said the repairs would be half the value of the gun and I should trade it in. Can't they be welded and reground? What is the normal range for a locking block job?

Updated putting left-handed cast in a neutral stock. possible?
I wonder if someone point me in the right direction of having a LH cast put in a neutral stock on my new BT-99 plus maple. The gun i shoot on a regular basics is a Krieghoff KX6 which has a cast in it for a left-handed shooter, and shoot it well. The BT-99 plus has a adjustable comb on it and i have it all the way over to to left and still can't get it to shoot where i look unlike the KX6. Any suggestions? Does anyone bend stocks? 1145 FPS Load for 22/23 yds?
Is general consensus that 1145fps with 1/18 load still good for the 22/23 yds line? After I get done reloading my first shot double shells, I'm thinking of running some Gun Clubs for handicap. Hodgdon has a 1145 and a 1200 load with the difference being 1 grain. I'm inclined to take the saving, over 3k shells it would be another 200 shells. Recoil is not an issue for me either way but I don't want to short myself on FPS...I'm not that good. Thanks George

I need a aftermarket rib to go on my Remington 870 Plain Barrel 16ga. Remember the rib cant be flat on the bottom but must be contoured to the barrel.

Heated shooting vest
My question is do they make a left-hand heated vest for shooting? Wife wanted to get me one for Christmas. Checked at the club last night and every make has the switch and wires on the left side and wires going over the left shoulder, would this be a problem for a left-hand shooter?

Clay bird differences?
Club just ran out of our White Flyer trap birds. Switched over to sporting clay birds to finish out league. What makes them higher priced. Said they are harder for the higher 60MPH top end sporting machine, but when we shoot games at the end of every night, we throw trap bids at that and even faster and don't brake birds. Why aren't sporting clays using our trap birds to save money?
Craigslist reloading supplies no more?
I used to do alright on Craigslist, used to get good deals on loaders, barrels, stocks, ect, but it stopped being worthwhile to check regularly years ago. I did pick up a metallic lot I think last year, ended up peddling everything extra to get back to zero, and got an old Redding turret press for free out of the process. FB marketplace typically has a better selection, but prices are usually real close to market value, so no deals to be found.
Armalite AR17 on the line
55 years of trap shooting, I thought I had seen every trap gun show up on the line. Last night a young shooter showed up with an Armalite AR17 all aluminum shotgun, weighs 5.5# chokes screws over the barrel, and two shot auto. He said it was his granddads bought new -in 1964. Very interesting gun.

Vortex opitics
Just visited the new Vortex building in Barneveld Wisconsin.4,000 square feet of Binoculars, spotting scopes, range finders, riflescope. Tremendous selection to compare or step outside to try them out overlooking a 1,000-acre prairie Was a great opportunity for hands on comparison. If you are ever going through southern Wisconsin, it is well worth the stop.

Expanding on revouts post-- Trying to put together games loads - Muzzle velocity with long shot I have found out too much speed destroys my pattern- My question is I can test the feet per second out the barrel and pattern at 39 yards. At 75+yards how can you determine -Time to target - Velocity at target - and energy at the target for 8 - 71/2 - and 6 shot. Larger diameter 6 will be slower but more energy when it gets there? More shot with 7/12 little more speed?
686 Onyx Pro barrel crack?
What would cause this Bretta 686 Onyx Pro Trap barrel to dimple and crack. Six inches from the choke tube, the bottom barrel has a dimple the size of a shot and a small crack running forward about a 1/8". First is it safe to shoot and is it repairable. Can't find a replacement barrel any ware.

725 Browning sporter stock removal
When did browning switch to a torx headed stock bolt -My 725 came loose, tried my 6MM browning wrench didn't fit. Screwed it out with a thin screw driver only to find out it is a torx head. Can not find anywhere Browning has a wrench for it. The steel washer part way down limits me from using my screwdriver extension and torx bit Without removing the washer. So how do you remove the washer and what's it for? Or where do you find a Browning torx wrench.

Remington 870 trigger Assembly?
My 870 Remington trap has a steel trigger without a safety. What to switch trigger assembly with a safety for my grandkids can use it. Question is There is Express Triggers-Marine 870 triggers - Wingmaster triggers - silver lifter triggers out there and what's the differents? Then does it have to be a 12-gauge trigger? Will a wide frame 16-gauge or wide frame 20- gauge trigger fit?

I work on scale equipment and have seen some weird rodent damage. I saw a truck scale taken out by rabbits. That being said, you might want to look at Hostile Environment load cell cable. 2024_lcg_el146.pdf (ricelake.com) They also have Rodent Proof cable with a braided over cover, but I think it is 6 conductor. Summer League Prepay?
#1 · This week we started our 16 week league and instituted a "Pre-Pay" for the season. Our intentions were to get away from the every week each shooter (5 man team) pays his captain and the captain pays the clerk. $960 targets ($192 Per shooter), $30 Membership, $40 team sponsor fee. 50 Targets per evening. Just curious if most all other clubs around the trapshooting community have also done this?
7/8 oz. speed question?
Have shot 1 1/8 oz loads for sixty years. Now mostly 1145 fps on the sixteen yard line. with age and cost want to try 7/8 oz. loads with 8 1/2 shot .My question is, I have just as many pellets going out the barrel as the 1 1/8 oz.7 1/2 but are much lighter. Do I need more speed to do the job?
Best wad for .750 bore winter shooting.

My guess is, and I don’t have any experience with these programs, that they are self funded to begin with and therefore this is a nothing burger. Darr Uncle Joe needs the money for Ukraine and all the illegals he has let into the country. If you want them to vote Democrat you have to pay them you know! Hope we throw them all out of office next year (well, at least a majority). Rumors are just that. It would be interesting to see facts about how these programs are funded or defunded.
left hand SxS trigger
Make sure you like that configuration. I have shot way more than my share of SxS guns. I prefer them. All apparently for the right-handed shooter and I am a lefty. Somewhere I picked up a Philly FOX SXS. Took it to the skeet range and tried to fire it without success. My good friend that is all knowing said try the other barrel. Loaded the LEFT Barrel and pulled the front trigger. It went bang. Looked at the triggers. The rear trigger was set in. I bought a Left-handed factory Fox and I hated it.
Marijuana and trap shooting?
With 22 states allowing recreational marijuana and bordering states joining in, My home state alone paying $36 million in sales tax to Illinois in cannabis sales tax in 2022. My question is how is it affecting gun club rules and enforcement? Being a Wisconsin trap club, we do sell beer, and to be truthful beers sales keeps our club open year-round. But we know who is drinking and who is shooting. What are other clubs doing with this cannabis influx? Or isn't a problem?

Due to the limited number of left hand 682 -- And as a left hander I have been looking for 682 but will settle for -- straight stock -- adjustable comb -- Adjustable butt plate -- And you can always add a left hand palm swell if you want-- other wise you are good to go.. Left hander are at a disadvantage!
Shooting stool/chair
#1 · I have a friend that is 80 years old. He shoots trap on weekly league.. When we are done he is in a lot of pain from his legs and back. Has anyone seen a light weight chair that he could use and move from station to station and that he could possibly shoot from. I've seen guys shoot from wheel Chairs and scooters. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Sort by #2 · Cabelas has some swivel chairs designed for use in blinds. They are not too heavy but you may have to move them for him.
