The role of microRNAs-23b and 27b in migration, invasion and proliferation of T24 bladder cancer cells.
Bladder cancer (BC) is the sixth most common cancer among men worldwide and represents a significant cause of morbidity and mortality. High-grade BC is associated with an increased risk of progression to muscle-invasive and metastatic disease, negatively impacting patient prognosis. Despite advances in molecular characterization, therapeutic strategies remain limited, and the identification of novel molecular targets is essential.
A monoclonal antibody that inhibits the shedding of CD16a and CD16b and promotes antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity against tumors - Nature Communications
Abstract CD16a triggers antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and phagocytosis by natural killer (NK) cells and macrophages in anti-tumor immunity. However, CD16a undergoes cleavage by ADAM17 that dampens its anti-tumor immunity. We here develop a monoclonal antibody (F9H4) that binds to CD16a and inhibits its cleavage. F9H4 retains CD16a on the surface of NK cells and macrophages, without triggering or blocking CD16a.

Evaluation of Ar, Ar-v7, and P160 Family as Biomarkers for Prostate Cancer: Insights Into the Clinical Significance and Disease Progression
PURPOSE: To assess the role of the p160 family, AR, and AR-V7 in different initial presentations of prostate cancer and their association with clinical endpoints related to tumor progression. METHODS: The study sample comprises 155 patients who underwent radical prostatectomy and 11 healthy peripheral zone biopsies as the control group. Gene expression was quantified by qPCR from the tissue specimens.
The Effect of Gene Editing by CRISPR-Cas9 of miR-21 and the Indirect Target MMP9 in Metastatic Prostate Cancer
1. Introduction Prostate cancer (PCa) is one of the most common cancers among men, accounting for 26% of all cases diagnosed and 11% of estimated deaths worldwide. Metastatic PCa is challenging to treat because it presents considerable heterogeneity and limited therapeutic response [1]. Presently, standard PCa treatment is based on androgen receptor (AR) deprivation. However, this is ineffective when the disease advances to the metastatic stage due to androgen resistance [2].
