Near telomere-to-telomere reference genome assembly of Megacarpaea megalocarpa (Brassicaceae)
Abstract As a perennial spring ephemeral, Megacarpaea megalocarpa escapes extreme summer drought through rapid early-spring growth and deeply buried meristems. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying this specialized stress-avoidance strategy remain unclear. Moreover, the complex mesopolyploid and allopolyploid history of this tribe has continuously obscured its phylogenetic position, complicating our understanding of its evolutionary origins.

Telomere-to-telomere gapless genome assembly of Calligonum mongolicum
Abstract Calligonum mongolicum is a desert shrub with exceptional tolerance to drought and salinity, making it a valuable model for studying environmental adaptation in xerophytic plants. Here, we present a telomere-to-telomere (T2T) genome assembly of C. mongolicum with a total size of 1.05 Gb and a contig N50 of 123.40 Mb. All nine pseudo-chromosomes were fully assembled, each containing complete telomeric sequences.
