1 Introduction Recently, aqueous zinc batteries (AZBs) have emerged as promising candidates in the energy storage field due to their intrinsic safety, low cost, high energy and power densities, and admirable electrochemical performance [1-4]. Among alternative AZBs, static Zn─Br batteries, working with the reversible conversion between Br0 and Br−, stand out owing to the high theoretical capacity (355 mAh g−1, based on the mass of Br) and high redox potential (∼1.84 V vs. Zn/Zn2+) [5-8].
