Abstract Directional light splitting based on the photonic spin-Hall effect is a desired feature for the development of spin-dependent optical elements. Here, we report on the routing of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) by using chiral gold nanocubes (Au NCs) and silver nanowires (Ag NWs).

Plasmonic nanoparticles have become integral to numerous applications such as sensing, (1) imaging, (2) photocatalysis, (3) nonlinear optics, (4) and energy harvesting. (5) Conventional plasmonic nanoparticles are typically made of noble metals with gold and silver being the most popular ones.
