Beyond Gaganyaan: Building An Architecture For India’s Long-Term Human Presence In Space
Larry Bell, Rushabh Mehta, Surabhi Sharma India’s human-spaceflight programme is moving from a first crewed mission toward an indigenous space station and, ultimately, a crewed lunar landing. The next challenge is not simply to accumulate more vehicles and technologies, but to determine how transportation, docking, habitation, logistics, power, communications, mobility and surface operations can function as one progressively expandable architecture.
One fine day
Short story / fiction Sam sat on the branch of a tree, numb from everything that was happening around him. There was no way the world around him was making any sense. Just a few days ago he was with his girlfriend, sipping 250 rupee coffee at a fancy coffee shop. His life was good, comfortable. He had built himself up for success. Worked hard in school and college, made the right friends and now he was on his way to career success. Early in his life, he realised the value of being in the right groups.
Starting a new school #5: 5 years later
Nearly five years ago, a few of us took a brave and crazy decision to start a new school. Inspired by the criticism against modern industrial schooling, where children are forced to be domesticated (or you could call it forced social adjustment), we felt empowered to challenge this setup by starting a school. Before started, we did a lot of meetings with prospective parents to understand what kind of school will we start.
The wonderful dreams of Mr Nilekani

His 2010 thesis, " Imagining India " laid down the foundation of how technology has the potential to transform India. Mr Nilekani earned his stripes building one of the largest and most respected IT services companies in India - Infosys.
SOX4-SMARCA4 complex promotes glycolysis-dependent TNBC cell growth through transcriptional regulation of Hexokinase 2
Abstract Tumor cells rely on increased glycolytic capacity to promote cell growth and progression. While glycolysis is known to be upregulated in the majority of triple negative (TNBC) or basal-like subtype breast cancers, the mechanism remains unclear. Here, we used integrative genomic analyses to identify a subset of basal-like tumors characterized by increased expression of the oncogenic transcription factor SOX4 and its co-factor the SWI/SNF ATPase SMARCA4.
Chasing high growth
The definition of a "startup" is a small company chasing high growth, and it is extremely hard to run a high growth company. There is a simple way to explain this. Risk and reward are inevitably interconnected. The number of people competing for a large reward is always proportional to the size of the reward, so a large reward is usually claimed very quickly.
In search of a liberated society
In 2012, when our first-born one was a year old, one of our friends, Aravinda, had invited us to join the " Learning Societies Unconference" (LSUC) that was happening at a farm near Palghar, about 100 km from Mumbai. Aravinda was homeschooling her child and had introduced us to the idea that school education is not the right way for children to learn through the writings of John Holt and Daniel Greenberg (of Sudbury Valley School).

Can India Break the Pattern and Do Open Source Right?
Most Popular in the Last... By Rushabh Mehta | November 18, 2014 The government of India has recently announced a big push into open source as a part of its Digital Initiative. For a country of more than a billion people and thousands of government organizations, I see this as a long overdue move that will hopefully boost the faltering free and open source software communities in India.
