Qualcomm Inc. said it is acquiring Modular Inc. for about $3.9 billion in stock, adding artificial intelligence software capabilities that will aid its push into data centers. The two plan to close the transaction in the second half of 2026, when Qualcomm will give Modular's owners 19.2 million shares, the San Diego-based chipmaker said Wednesday in a regulatory filing.
(Bloomberg) — AvalonBay Communities Inc. and Equity Residential agreed to merge in an all-stock transaction that combines two of the biggest apartment real estate investment trusts. Under the terms of the transaction, AvalonBay shareholders will receive 2.793 shares of Equity Residential common stock for each of their shares, leaving AvalonBay holders owning about 51.2% of the combined company, according to a statement Thursday.
