Have you ever used a typewriter?
No.
How is social media changing news?
Social media is (unfortunately, in my opinion) BECOMING news.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I'm a big fan of visual/multimedia storytelling softwares like Atavist and Storied.
What's your favorite social network?
Instagram. Just shut up and show me pretty pictures.
Why did you become a journalist?
I always enjoyed being on the front lines of information and being able to share that with people.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No high school paper, but I was the news Editor of my college paper, The Good 5 Cent Cigar.
When's the best time to pitch you?
I'm better at answering emails in the mornings.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Hiking, climbing, doing the things I like writing about.
