Drink Responsibly by S. Cook | Sober Poetry
Photo Credit: depositphotos.com I see you That struggle hiding beneath A look so familiar seeking relief The desperation, I hear inside your voice “I don’t want to drink again” Like it’s a choice Your head is pounding, your hands, they shake But for it to stop, you know what it takes. A splash in your coffee To get through the morning By evening, you’re unsteady, With speech slurring .

Comparing passive and active macroinvertebrate sampling gear efficacy during biomonitoring in Southern Appalachian mountain streams
1 INTRODUCTION Aquatic macroinvertebrates are frequently used in aquatic monitoring programs because they are widespread, diverse species having a wide range of tolerance to differing environmental conditions, they have limited migration patterns, they are inexpensively and easily sampled without detrimental effects to other resident biota, and they typically have short lifespans (EPA, 1990; Platts et al., 1983; Rosenberg & Resh, 1993).
