Surprise synechia: a case of evolving chorionicity and fetal head entrapment by synechia diagnosed on prenatal ultrasound
Herein, we present a case of a monochorionic diamniotic (MCDA) twin pregnancy with a false intertwin membrane caused by a synechia that posed a diagnostic challenge of chorionicity and concern for fetal head entrapment, requiring three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound. Written informed consent was obtained from the patient for the publication of the clinical information presented below.
Observation of Linear and Nonlinear Light Trapping on Topological Dislocations
1 Introduction The concept of dislocations dates back to studies of plastic deformation of metals in the 19th century, although it was formally established only in the 1930s, when the topological nature of dislocations was proposed [1]. In crystalline solids, dislocations are now recognized as ubiquitous structural defects that play a pivotal role in shaping not only mechanical, but also electronic and optical properties of materials, including semiconductors and ionic crystals [2, 3].

Purpose : The association between aortic root diameters and aortic regurgitation in hypertension (HT) is disputed with lack of understanding of the underline mehanisms lT. We investigate the relationship between aortic root diameters and aortic regurgitation in newly diagnosed and never treated hypertensive patients and in a group healthy subjects.
