Mohs micrographic surgery for the treatment of invasive melanoma: A systematic review with meta‐analyses
INTRODUCTION Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS), first described by Dr Frederic Mohs in the 1930s, is today regarded as an option for the management of several types of cutaneous malignancy. The claimed advantages of Mohs are that it provides a more comprehensive examination of the lesion margin and reduces the extent of excision, as only positive margins are extended.

805 Clopidogrel Versus Ticagrelor on Coronary Microvascular and Peripheral Endothelial Function After Non-ST Elevation Acute Coronary Syndromes (NSTE-ACS): Results of a Randomised Trial
Ticagrelor may improve microvascular and endothelial function compared to clopidogrel in ST-elevation myocardial infarction and stable patients. However, data is lacking in NSTE-ACS.

Histopathological features of complete pathological response predict recurrence-free survival following neoadjuvant targeted therapy for metastatic melanoma
Highlights • The extent and composition of the pathological response after neoadjuvant DT in BRAFV600E/K melanoma correlates with RFS. • Patients achieving pCR had longer RFS compared with patients who did not. • Hyalinized fibrosis correlated with longer RFS, while necrosis and proliferative fibrosis correlated with shorter RFS. • Absence of pCR or presence of immature fibrosis independently predicted shorter RFS.

Analysis of an electrical impedance spectroscopy system in short-term digital dermoscopy imaging of melanocytic lesions
This prospective study, conducted at 2 centres in Australia, aimed to evaluate the effect of adding an EIS measurement at baseline to suspicious melanocytic lesions undergoing routine short-term sequential digital dermoscopy imaging (SDDI) Patients presented with suspicious melanocytic lesions that were eligible for short-term SDDI (with no clear feature of melanoma on dermoscopy). The EIS measurement was performed at the first visit following the dermoscopic photography.
Melanoma diagnosis may be a pitfall for optical coherence tomography assessment of equivocal amelanotic or hypomelanotic skin lesions
Amelanotic and hypomelanotic skin lesions can be difficult to diagnose clinically and dermoscopically.1-3 Evidence is emerging that optical coherence tomography (OCT) can detect superficial basal cell carcinoma (sBCC) with good sensitivity (79-95.7%) and specificity (75.3-96%).4 Given that sBCC is a common problem4, and that it may be treated noninvasively5, the potential benefits from using OCT as an adjunct to clinical diagnosis are high.
Accuracy of optical coherence tomography for the diagnosis of superficial basal cell carcinoma: a prospective, consecutive, cohort study of 168 cases
Superficial basal cell carcinoma (sBCC) can be safely treated topically. Potentially noninvasive imaging techniques, such as optical coherence tomography (OCT), may be useful to diagnose and manage patients with sBCC and obviate the need for biopsy. To evaluate in OCT (i) the sensitivity and specificity for sBCC diagnosis, (ii) the accuracy in determining BCC depth and (iii) the role in management of sBCC mimickers.
