Abstract Although azacitidine (AZA) and decitabine (DEC) demonstrate comparable efficacy in AML, prior data suggest that DEC may induce deeper TP53 mutation clearance and higher response rates; however, direct comparisons in TP53-mutant (TP53-MT) AML are lacking. We conducted a large multicenter retrospective analysis to compare outcomes between DEC- and AZA-based induction, including combinations with venetoclax (VEN).

Influence of iontophoresis on delivery of NSAID-loaded deformable liposomal dispersions: in vitro and in vivo evaluation
Aim: Negatively charged deformable liposomes (DL) of ketoprofen were formulated to enhance transdermal delivery of ketoprofen (KP) under the influence of iontophoresis for intraarticular delivery. Methods: Conventional and deformable KP liposomes were prepared using thin film hydration, characterized and intraarticular delivery of KP was evaluated using Sprague-Dawley rats.

The Venovo (Bard; Tempe, AZ), Vici (Boston Scientific; Marlborough, MA), Zilver Vena (Cook Medical Inc., Bloomington, IN), and Abre (Medtronic; Minneapolis, MN) stents have recently been FDA approved for use in the iliofemoral venous system although the use of Venovo has been halted and Vici recalled at present. In this case series, we present the off-label use of these stents in the central thoracic veins.

Transradial access (TRA) is now seen as an alternative to transfemoral access (TFA) for performing uterine fibroid embolization (UFE). To assess for non-inferiority of technique, our study compares dose area product (DAP) and fluoroscopy time (FT) after UFE between TRA and TFA across multiple hospitals in a single health system.
