Dear Editor, I read with great interest the case report by Lee et al. describing a 74-year-old man with metabolic dysfunction–associated and alcohol-related liver disease who presented with a 5.3-cm liver nodule [1]. On dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI, the lesion demonstrated arterial phase hyperenhancement followed by portal venous phase washout, satisfying LI-RADS 5 criteria. In the setting of chronic liver disease, such imaging findings are most commonly attributed to hepatocellular carcinoma.
