Spring is in the air, and in Ohio, that brings color, pollinators and the season of new life. It makes us think of holding those cute baby chicks we grew up raising. Backyard poultry ownership continues to grow across Ohio and the Midwest, bringing fresh eggs and family enjoyment to many households. However, with increased poultry ownership comes increased responsibility to protect flocks from highly pathogenic avian influenza. Biosecurity is the first and most effective line of defense.
