Sakshi Abrol’s Biography

Sakshi is currently pursuing her PhD under a DAAD-funded project in Germany. She is looking at market-linkage, technology and trade for advancing livelihoods of forest-dependent communities in India.

She has a wide-ranging experience with think tanks and policy consulting firms across India and have worked closely with the Government on various projects. Some of her most extensive engagements have been with the office of the ex-MoS Home, Shri Hansraj Ahir, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, TRIFED, and, NABARD.

An alumna of St. Stephen's College and Tata Institute of Social Sciences, she seeks to continue working in the public policy space in India with a special focus on inclusive value chain for promoting local livelihoods. She hails from Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
