How is social media changing news?
Social media can give marginalized and underrepresented groups a tool for a louder voice to speak for those that cannot.

Founding member and staff reporter.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
Any pitch that 1) names our outlet incorrectly and 2) offers a ready-made article/report without any of our input, goes into the trash.

Simply soda water with a slice of lemon.

In the field.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That being a foreign correspondent is an easy job masked as a holiday in an "exotic country".
