Mark Meadows plea to put his arrest on hold struck down
Source: Raw Story U.S. District Judge Steve C. Jones struck down Mark Meadows' latest attempt to avoid being arrested. Meadows is facing a hearing about whether he will be able to move his Georgia indictment to a federal case on Monday, but the deadline to turn himself over to Fulton County is noon on Friday. So, Meadows asked District Attorney Fani Willis if he could have an extra business day to see how the hearing shakes out. She refused, saying she gave everyone two weeks out of a courtesy.
My youngest son and his partner are COVID+
Sat Jul 22, 2023, 01:19 PM this morning after returning Monday from a 2 week trip to Scotland. My son said he had bad cold like symptoms beginning Tuesday that only lasted for a day. His partner started Paxlovid today and is more ill. They think they might have been exposed on the train to Edinburgh last Saturday. It's still out there and will be with us for the foreseeable future.

So, legal twitter says, due to the seriousness of the charges, that it is highly likely that the GA campaign event that Trump held on Saturday is his last ever political event. There are other tweets echoing the above. Due to the flight risk and the incredibly serious nature of the charges, it is expected that Trump will be immediately imprisoned on Tuesday afternoon at his arraingment.
