Easy way is looking at the distance that Audyssey set on your subwoofer.

Hushbox for a Class D Amp
I'd like to build a hushbox for a commercial type class D amp? The overall concept is not that complex but what worries me is keeping it cool. Most commercial class D amps have a cooling fan at the rear side which is probably not designed with silence being a priority. Having said that, they are not always running at their fastest speed because they have temperature control systems that govern their speed. I am under the assumption that the fans pull air out as opposed to pushing air inside.
High quality chinese speakers brands ?
#1 · We all know B&O,Geneva ,HarmanKardon ,Sonos ,B&W ,Edifier ,JBL and we know if we choose between this brands we can get at least acceptable quality till super high quality. Do you think or you ever tried unknow chinese brands with comparable quality or at least really close with better price/quality ratio ? #2 · I don't think any of these companies has better sound for the price than EMP.
Replacing a back can with a box to reduce depth
I am using two way coaxial speakers that are available with back-cans. The back-cans ensure voicing consistency when one is using several speakers. However, the back cans are far too deep and I'd like to replace them by building back boxes that are taller in order to minimise depth as much as possible. The idea is to retain or increase the internal volumetric area of the back-cans.
Tonewinner D6000 settings question
#1 · Hi all, I have recently added two D6000 15" subwoofers to my setup, and using the app i see a setting for voltage input. It is called 'input match' and gives the options 1Vrms, 1.4V, 2.0V, 2.8V and 4V. What do i set that to? I am using a Denon X6700 set to preamp mode with 7.1.6 and the speakers are powered by two Tonewinner AD-7300PA+ amps fed with 230v from the mains.
Optoma HD30 - 1600 Lumens, 25000:1 contrast and pair of 3D-glasses included!
#1 · Hi 2 all! Sorry for bad english. Guys, anybody have Optoma HD30 here? I replace my old Optoma HD20 to Optoma HD30. It's the same case and focus, so i don't need to change my screen. About quality - very good black level, slightly better contrast ratio and sharpness, very fast working dynamick black (now i really use it). Amazing 3D - watch only 3D Blu-ray remux. Nice in games - Devil May Cry 4 - outstanding! But not enough light in 3D mode - a little bit dark image...
DIY hush box for JVC NZ9
What is your screen size / throw distance? I would assume that projector has the focal length to at least get to the back of the room. I also think you haven't actually heard these projectors when "ON" in recent years as they are pretty quiet. Can you hear them if nothing is playing and only the projector is on....plus you are focusing on sounds in the room? Yes, of course. But if you have anything playing, the noise becomes part of the background and not noticeable.
How to setup IP Phones for internal use only in a home
Hello fellow members, I thought I'd ask this question here as it is more relevant and associated with home automation or at least a part of it. I already have a gigabit network switch at home with multiple wired cat6 points going to every room in the form of multi-gang on-wall sockets. I'd like to place IP-Phones in every room so that family members can call each other. The IP-Phones would be for internal calls only via the LAN and all the phones would be wired to the network switch.
Interior fabrication & Lighting
Any interior fabricators or builders out there that can explain how this sort of panelling and lighting effects are accomplished. I’m referring to the panelling and lighting on the side walls that continue to the ceiling.
Home Security Cameras / System
Hi, I am hoping that someone knowledgeable and experienced in the field of security cameras and systems can help me out. I am looking for a good but cost effective system for my house, when I say cost effective I don't mean so cheap that image clarity and performance is compromised. I'm sure even really good security cameras in this day and age are available for a reasonable cost due to the competition and a plethora of companies out there offering solutions.
MiniDSP 2x4HD to 2x4HD-Balanced ???
At one time they had a balanced unit available...........Even if you managed to just balance the in / outs , by installing XLRs somehow. ( These look pretty slim for that), you would still have a unit designed to provide consumer audio output Level signal. Personally I would not see it as worth the time, to actually mod a unit, that can be converted to a completely balanced device, buy adding some second hand Aphex 124a units.Simply adding the 124s does the completed mod........

Power Amp keeps shutting down
Joined May 23, 2008 · 904 Posts Discussion Starter • #1 • a moment ago I have the Sherbourn PA 7-350 power amp that I bought from Emotiva when they had the clearance sale. This is a really solid and well built amp but it randomly shuts down due to its protection circuit kicking in. Sometimes I can watch a whole movie without a problem and sometimes it shuts down in about an hour. Here are things to note:- 1. The shutting down is not related to volume, it can shut down even when nothing is playing. 2.

Dolby Pro Logic IIx vs Surround
Has anyone played around with the new dolby upmixer dolby surround and compared it to the old pro logic 11z, is there any difference with upmixing 2 channel (I am thinking normal broadcast tv that doesn't have DD) to 7.1 or are the differences only there when it comes to having height speakers?

Hello I'm planning to get an SVS SB1000 with a pair of MAudio BX5 D2. I will connect the PC's audio interface to the SVS's 2 RCA jacks, and then RCA out to the studio monitors. My concern is: will speakers and subwoofer be in sync?
