To Kill a Man by Sam Bourne
Tomorrow's most explosive thriller, today Natasha Winthrop is a rising star in American politics, strongly tipped as a future candidate for president. One night she is violently assaulted in her home by an intruder. She defends herself and minutes later, the intruder lies dead. Winthrop is hailed as a #MeToo heroine: the woman who fought back. But inconsistencies emerge in Winthrop's story, suggesting that the attack might not have been as random as it first seemed.
To Kill the Truth
On Holocaust Memorial Day this year a survey showed five per cent of UK adults do not believe the horrific slaughter took place – and one in 12 believes its scale exaggerated. Almost two-thirds of those questioned could not say how many Jews were victims of the Nazi genocide or grossly under-estimated the number. That one fact makes Sam Bourne’s topical, morally serious and chillingly plausible conspiracy story an absolute must-read.

To Kill the Truth
Reviewed by Robert Goodman. By Sam Bourne, Quercus, $29.99. Many of the current, and even historical dystopias start with the idea that the government in power has somehow wiped away history. Or that there has been some event that has led to a communal forgetting of the past, allowing those in power to write their own script, or give their own version of the past. In some ways, Sam Bourne’s latest Maggie Costello thriller To Kill the Truth explores how this might happen.
Review | NetGalley
Review by Magdalena J, Reviewer Last updated on 14 Mar 2019 I Recommend This Book Yes I read The Last Testament the first Maggie Costello book several years ago. However, I've not read the previous two books after The Last Testament. Also, I hardly remember the story in the first book. Nevertheless, I found this book to be easy and engaging to read. The concept of destroying museums and libraries to destroy proof of atrocities is both frightening and thought-provoking.

Utah Tries To Revoke Theater’s Liquor License For Showing Deadpool
Oh Utah. You landlocked wasteland. Your largest body of water is salted and non-potable and your most unique feature is your large Mormon community. Of course you would have backwards-ass laws, like one that allows a movie theater to acquire a liquor license and serve beer, but not during a movie with nudity. No, this isn’t make-believe.
